Beautiful Food

One of our favourite restaurants in Redlands is called Farm Artisan Foods. What has really struck us about the food there is not just how wonderful it tastes, but also how it is beautifully presented. We first discovered it when we returned from NZ the first time. We were wowed by how much the food looked and tasted like the food we’d fallen in love with when eating out in Auckland. The owner/chef has continued his style of fabulous presentation.

In NZ we are now experiencing the food that first delighted us. In the following pictures you will see relatively humble food, breakfast food, served as most things are here. The first picture shows a filo dough savoury containing, among other things, pumpkin and feta cheese. Not particularly exotic or expensive ingredients, but doesn’t the presentation make you think you’re seeing something worth a mint?

Can you guess what this dish is? Once again, something you can find at almost any breakfast place in the free world, Eggs Benedict. Mark loves eggs this way, and I’d think he’s become an even bigger fan given how fabulous they look from the kitchen. And it really does help your brain decide how much it enjoys the meal.
