Fall is in the air

We’ve been watching the trees turn lovely colours here in the Southern Hemisphere. On our walk to school the trees along the Heathcote River are turning a beautiful red and there are large piles of dry leaves on the footpath. William loves to shuffle through them.

Our view of the valley below our house is colouring up, too. Reds, oranges, and yellows are starting to dominate the landscape. It’s hard to get a handle on what month it is and how can this be happening in April.

It’s starting to get much cooler during the days, too, so I imagine that many of the trees will be bare before we know it.
