Player of the Day

Today William played in his last football game for Beckenham. They had a tough game. William was keeper (goalie), a role that he has come to really enjoy. Many, many shots were taken on goal, and 4 did get through. But, many more were stopped by the hard working keeper.
Because of the constant pressure endured by William and his hard work, he was named “Player of the Day.” It was nice that he received this honour on the last game he played. I’m proud of the fact that he tried something new and something that no one else was willing to attempt. I’m not sure what they’ll do when games start again next term....

Interestingly, the Player of the Day gets tasked with filing the game scorecard. Below is a photo of the league’s high-tech filing system.
